My office sits right on the Ventura County line, an easy 10-minute drive down the 101 from anywhere in Thousand Oaks or Newbury Park—close enough for a lunchtime session without losing half your afternoon to the drive.
I work with couples and individuals using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the most heavily researched and clinically proven method for helping partners break negative cycles and reconnect. Many of my Thousand Oaks clients are busy professionals and parents balancing demanding careers with a full family life—I understand that pace firsthand, and I build sessions that respect it.

I view therapy as a highly active, engaged partnership. My approach is direct and results-oriented. When working with couples, my practice is grounded in the gold standard of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). For individuals, I utilize a highly integrative approach, intentionally tailoring the therapy to your specific needs. Together, we will identify the negative, repetitive cycles keeping you stuck—whether that looks like exhausting relationship conflict, paralyzing personal anxiety, or navigating a major life transition—and provide the practical tools for lasting relief.
As a therapist, I bring both advanced clinical training and extensive life experience into the room. Having been married for nearly 30 years and navigating the complex, ever-changing seasons of raising four children, I understand firsthand what it takes to build a secure partnership. Equally importantly, I know the personal resilience required to navigate challenging life transitions, manage heavy daily demands, and maintain a strong sense of self through it all. I don’t just teach these concepts—I have lived them.
My background in both psychology and business gives me a unique perspective on the intersection of high-pressure environments, high-functioning anxiety, and everyday stressors. I understand the heavy weight of balancing professional demands with personal well-being, complex family and in-law dynamics, and challenging life transitions. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Organizational Behavior from Brigham Young University, and earned my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Lutheran University.
