My work is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), one of the most extensively researched approaches to couples therapy. My intensive, advanced training in EFT allows me to bring this specialized approach directly into our sessions. Research supports EFT’s effectiveness in improving relationship satisfaction, with evidence that gains can continue after treatment.
We won’t spend our time picking apart whose fault something is or arguing over who did what wrong. We step away from the blame game entirely, recognizing that the negative cycle itself is the problem—allowing you to team up and change that dynamic together. As you understand what is beneath the arguments, you can address the core relational needs driving the friction and build a stronger, more secure attachment.
Many approaches to couples therapy focus on giving you homework, communication templates, and behavioral rules that tell you what to do. We work entirely differently. There are no worksheets or forced habits. Instead, we maximize our time together by focusing on your deeper emotional experience, which increases your desire to change.
As emotional connection increases, sexual intimacy often improves naturally. When concerns involving desire, vulnerability, or communication continue and need more focused attention, I also provide sex therapy to help couples work through these challenges and build a sexual relationship that feels connected and fulfilling for both partners.
For couples raising children, we apply these same proven principles to your parenting dynamic—helping you get on the same page, reduce household stress, and lead your family as a united, supportive team.
