About Kendra

My approach to therapy is an active, engaged partnership tailored to your unique needs. My focus is strengthening relationships, because good relationships are the greatest predictor of our health and happiness. While couples work is central to my practice, I also help individuals navigate life stressors, self-doubt, and complex family dynamics. These areas are deeply connected: as you work through internal struggles, you are better equipped to show up in your relationships. When your relationships are strong, every other aspect of your life gets easier. Together, we will use this insight to help you build stronger relationships and function at your best.

To maximize results, I hold rare advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)—the only relationship approach extensively researched that has been shown to improve relationships long term. This specialized work builds on my clinical foundation, which includes a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Lutheran University.

Alongside my clinical education, I bring real-world life experience into the room. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Organizational Behavior from Brigham Young University. Coupled with my own professional experience in business, this background provides a clear understanding of the pressures that come with demanding careers, heavy personal responsibilities, and everyday stress. Having been married for nearly 30 years and raised four children, I know the resilience and dedication required to build strong families. My time spent volunteering with youth has deepened that perspective, giving me a clear view of the challenges young people and families face today. It is this combination of evidence-based practices and lived experience that makes our work together both highly practical and deeply effective.
